About the Role

The Points Guy is seeking an experienced and analytically rigorous Paid Media Analyst to drive acquisition goals within the Finserv and Travel sectors. This role will focus on managing paid search campaigns to achieve core KPIs aligned with business objectives and unit economics. You will optimize campaigns for growth, communicate insights to stakeholders, and analyze performance data, visitor behavior, attribution models, and advanced analytics to inform testing strategy. This role offers collaboration with travel industry experts and ownership of testing roadmaps for business impact and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize paid media campaigns to drive customer acquisition and complex conversion funnel performance at scale, with a focus on Google Search and Microsoft Ads.
  • Continuously analyze performance data, surfacing actionable recommendations to improve campaign efficiency and profitability.
  • Translate complex performance data into clear, compelling insights that influence outcomes and tell the performance story to internal stakeholders.
  • Continuously iterate through full-funnel testing, rigorously leveraging A/B and multivariate testing, to drive incremental improvements across core KPIs.
  • Leverage analytical and visualization tools such as SQL, Databricks, LLMs, Hightouch, and Google Tag Manager to monitor, understand, and optimize paid media performance, attribution, and incrementality.
  • Stay at the forefront of a rapidly evolving search landscape by testing and scaling emerging ad platforms and surfaces, while building vendor relationships to maintain product innovation awareness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other business teams to optimize the end-to-end user journey—from impression to conversion.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience executing paid media strategy and performance for high-volume or complex acquisition programs.
  • Proficiency with Google Ads, including running structured experiments, setting up conversion uploads, and optimizing bidding strategy.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with a focus on performance marketing and growth economics.
  • Strong communication skills and bias to action.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize projects based on impact, and translate insights into strategic roadmaps.
  • Advanced Excel and SQL skills, with familiarity in data visualization tools such as Databricks.
  • Familiarity with data transformation platforms such as Fivetran and Hightouch is a plus.
  • Experience navigating attribution, incrementality, and reduced signal transparency as platforms evolve.
  • Ability to collect and manipulate data from disparate data sources, with a willingness to dig deeper and problem-solve.
  • Desire to work hands-on in a performance-driven, analytically rigorous environment.
  • Passion for paid media marketing and awareness of emerging best practices, and tools in the space.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex analysis into actionable insights and effectively communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
