About the Role

As a Finance Transformation Intern, you will contribute to business process analysis, requirements definition, cost and cycle time analysis, and communication and change management to ensure client success. You will collaborate with colleagues to transform finance and operations functions, design sustainable models, and focus on Finance Process Optimization changes that achieve business transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Assess client finance operations and processes to identify transformation opportunities aligned with strategic business objectives
  • Support project teams in helping clients work toward their long-term business goals and strategic priorities
  • Assist with analyzing client challenges and contribute to the development of effective solutions
  • Participate in client meetings and support day-to-day project activities and client communications
  • Collaborate with Grant Thornton team members to help identify and address client questions, issues, and needs
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients while contributing to high-quality client service
  • Effectively manage assigned responsibilities and project deliverables while meeting internship expectations
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, Information Systems, or related fields
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Demonstrated digital fluency through the effective use of technology, data, and basic AI technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making
  • Experience in data analysis, including the ability to interpret complex financial datasets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights to support decision-making
  • Ability to analyze and improve financial planning, forecasting, and performance management processes
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform quantitative analysis and develop business cases
  • Basic understanding of Close-the-books, Chart-of-Accounts, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis & Financial Benchmarking
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Positive mindset for learning new concepts
  • Ability to travel to various client sites as needed
  • The willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
