About the Role
Lead research development, planning, and operations for programs focused on outreach, agenda-setting, and program expansion to build an integrated research community. Recruit and advise research fellows, facilitate workshops, and manage the program's online presence and publications.
Responsibilities
- Lead research development, planning, and operations for programs.
- Recruit potential research fellows.
- Conduct outreach to higher education institutions, arts organizations, nonprofits, and advocacy groups.
- Advise and mentor fellows on research design and dissemination.
- Organize and facilitate four research workshops annually.
- Collaborate with the Just Tech Advisory Board and network of researchers.
- Coordinate publication of literature reviews and research outputs.
- Oversee the program’s online presence, including website and social media.
- Plan, organize, and chair research events.
- Develop and draft research summaries.
- Develop and manage research program grant proposals, grant reports, and budgets.
- Provide program evaluations.
- Collaborate with SSRC colleagues on new program development and grant proposals.
Requirements
- 12 months of experience as Research Executive or Analyst, Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) of a USAID funded project, or Program Officer or Manager.
- 12 months of experience developing, managing and coordinating surveys and qualitative evaluations and analyzing data and drafting reports.
- 12 months of experience organizing and moderating workshops, meetings, and conferences.
- 12 months of experience developing budgets and writing grant proposals.
- Domestic and international travel required approximately 30% of the time.

Salary/Compensations
- $145,454 per annum.
