About the Role
Summerhill Market is seeking energetic, detail-oriented individuals to join their Dundas team as Produce Clerks. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining high standards in the produce department.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience in the produce department
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product selection and recommendations
- Stock, rotate, and replenish fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the day
- Maintain clean, full, and visually appealing displays
- Monitor product freshness, quality, and shrink
- Trim, prep, and cull produce to ensure top presentation standards
- Support merchandising and seasonal displays
- Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing backroom inventory
- Follow all food safety and store standards
Requirements
- A passion for fresh food and quality ingredients
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
- Previous grocery or produce experience is an asset
- Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry products and stand for extended periods
