About the Role

The Clinical Director is responsible for the delivery of all clinical treatment services in an OASAS 820 certified residential services program. This role ensures the quality of treatment services, fidelity of evidence-based service delivery, and timely documentation of all clinical staff activities. The position involves oversight of job performance, guidance of clinical staff, and direct supervision of Deputy Directors, while maintaining regulatory compliance and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

Implement, monitor, and provide oversight of all aspects related to the delivery of residential substance use disorder services.
Conduct regular and direct observations of all clinical treatment activities.
Implement and ensure compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.
Ensure compliance with all referent communications, HRA STARS reporting, and HRA finger imaging verification.
Provide crisis intervention services.
Conduct utilization review, incident management, and quality assurance reviews.
Assure that staff maintains accurate and confidential clinical records compliant with external and internal standards.
Prepare all necessary proposals and reports.
Assume responsibility for program operations in the absence of the Program Director.
Assure all clinical staff members are adequately trained.
Provide and implement a formal orientation plan to newly hired direct subordinate staff.
Conduct regular clinical and administrative meetings with staff.
Provide direct supervision for designated staff and prepare written annual evaluations.
Review evaluations of all clinical staff members.
Provide ongoing training for clinical staff and participate in in-service trainings.
Lead clinical quality improvement activities in collaboration with the Program Director.
Represent Odyssey House at community and public forums.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Requirements

Master's Level Clinical Degree and five (5) years of administrative or clinical experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting.
Two (2) years of experience in an administration and/or clinical supervisory role.
Qualified Mental Health Professional (e.g., LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, CRC, Ph.D., MSN, CASAC etc.).
Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, Electronic Health Record and Outlook programs).
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Availability as needed, including on-call responsibilities.
