About the Role
Senior Care Therapy is seeking Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) to provide in-person psychotherapy services to the geriatric population in Skilled Nursing Facilities, sub-acute care, long-term care, and assisted living facilities. The company handles all administrative responsibilities, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care and offering a strong work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for patients in a subacute or skilled nursing facility.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emotional and behavioral health conditions.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
- Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards using the EHR system.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state applying for.
- Effective oral and written communication in English.
- Basic proficiency with technology, including electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to regulatory compliance.
- Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities, up to 45 minutes.
- Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices within the facility throughout the day.
- Full Vaccination and Booster Status may be required in some facilities.
