About the Role
The bank teller is the face of ATC, responsible for rendering a high standard of service to all customers. Must interact pleasantly and professionally while conducting transactions and meeting customer needs. Uphold customer confidentiality and perform all necessary job functions.
Responsibilities
- Process personal/business checking and savings deposits (cash or check), verifying cash and endorsements, receiving proper identification for cash back, and issuing receipts.
- Cash checks according to regulation protocol.
- Accept loan and/or tax payments, verifying amount and issuing receipt.
- Process Money Orders and Treasurer's Checks.
- Ensure teller station is properly supplied, balance drawer daily, batch cashed checks, and count/roll loose coins.
- Maintain the security of the teller station.
- Balance and update savings passbooks.
- Answer customer questions, resolve problems, assist with account statements, and refer customers to the proper department.
- Ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to company and regulatory policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Customer service experience required.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills highly recommended.
- Effective listening and communication abilities highly recommended.
