About the Role
Transport equipment and materials within the hospital efficiently and courteously, ensuring timely delivery and inventory replenishment. Respond to service issues and take appropriate action.
Responsibilities
- Transport equipment, materials, computer printouts, and specimens to all areas of the hospital.
- Locate equipment for inventory replenishment.
- Deliver Lawson orders.
- Wash equipment in the designated washing area.
- Perform daily scheduled runs for reports, supplies, and Medical Records.
- Ensure services are performed efficiently and respond to service issues.
- Manually operate the equipment elevator.
Requirements
- Ability to perform medium to heavy physical labor.
- High School Diploma (preferred).
- Previous experience in a hospital setting and/or with the patient population (preferred).
- Excellent intrapersonal and communication skills (preferred).
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization (preferred).
- Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance.
- Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three professional references.
- Successfully complete a 4 panel drug screen.
- Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings.
- Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
