About the Role

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures; provide directions and general assistance to visitors.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
- Complete detailed reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
