About the Role

Provide construction knowledge, expertise, leadership, direction, supervision, and administration for planning, design, and execution of capital reinvestment projects, major maintenance, or ad-hoc project work in existing restaurants.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of NEXT reinvestment construction projects.
  • Manage key stakeholder engagements with franchisees, crew, designers, QS's, contractors, and corporate departments.
  • Coordinate and supervise all aspects of detailed design.
  • Understand and challenge project costs to ensure best value for franchisees.
  • Monitor and communicate project programs to ensure delivery.
  • Work closely with supply chain and contractors to ensure project delivery.
  • Obtain financial approval on project expenditure.
  • Supervise, challenge, and report any variance to project expenditure.
  • Undertake site inspections, site meetings, and defect identification inspections.
  • Support the engagement of Principle Designers to ensure compliance with H&S regulations.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards, policies, and specifications.

Requirements

  • 7 years construction project management, commercial, or retail fitout background.
  • RICS/CIOB/APM qualification.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience leading project teams to deliver high-quality construction projects on time and to budget.
  • Experience developing a direct project manager report(s).
  • Clear strength in financial cost management.
  • Ability to quickly build and maintain excellent relationships and influence key decision makers.
  • Experience managing multi-discipline professional teams.
  • Organized, analytical, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Inquisitive and willing to learn new skills.
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly.
  • Confident to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer Literate - Sophisticated Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable with and experienced in working in a fast-paced and changing working environment.
  • Able to deal with challenging or complicated situations.
  • Able to work with energy and passion and encourage the same in others.
