Responsibilities
- Process super alloy within the confines of an environmentally controlled, isolated area to the specifications of written work instructions overseen by S3 or above.
- Perform basic hoist and rigging operations.
- Operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs).
- Operate machines in the main room to work instruction standards (e.g., Scalper, classifier, sweco, rotex).
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble main room machines and containers to QC standard (e.g., Scalper, classifier, sweco, rotex, tote bins, storage bins, revert bins, clayville cans).
- Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Refer difficulties to Supervisor or Team Leader.
- May be assigned to tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Must have a good attendance record.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Must be able to work from heights – up to 60’.
- Must be able to wear a respirator.
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
- The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
