About the Role
Pre-Litigation Attorneys are responsible for all aspects of a personal injury case up to the filing of a complaint.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide direction to a team of staff members
- Evaluate the merits of a personal injury case
- Provide guidance and counsel to clients
- Medical case review
- Research and legal analysis
- Negotiate and authorize settlements in the pre-litigation stage
Requirements
- A license in good standing to practice law in New York
- At least two years of experience with client contact and/or negotiation experience
- The ability to handle a large and active caseload
- Prioritization of client representation and customer service
- Success providing direction and guidance to a team of staff
Skills
- Strong research, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent investigator and problem-solver skills
- Formidable negotiation skills
