About the Role
Frank R. Laurri, MD & Associates, PC is seeking a motivated and compassionate Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our team. We are a fast-paced primary care practice dedicated to providing high-quality care to our adult patients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including obtaining vital signs, height, weight, and BMI.
- Interview patients to update medical histories and medication lists and confirm the reason for the visit.
- Perform point-of-care testing and collect laboratory specimens.
- Perform EKGs and PFTs.
- Process prescription requests.
- Complete chart preparation according to the practice quality checklist.
- Manage incoming documents and assist with completing necessary forms.
- Communicate with patients regarding questions, follow-up instructions, and scheduling of testing ordered by providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Previous work experience in a healthcare or medical office setting preferred.
- Strong clinical and patient-care skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate approach to patient care.
Skills
- Medent EMR experience is helpful.
