About the Role
This Floor Manager position is a genuine development opportunity. You will be a key figure in the front-of-house team, visible during service, close to guests, and building the confidence and capability of your team. We want someone who makes the floor better by being on it, reading service, spotting needs, and providing direction. You will also bring ideas and provide feedback on what is working and what isn't. You'll work closely with senior management and have a say in how service evolves.
Responsibilities
- Lead the floor through service, setting the pace, maintaining standards, and keeping the team focused and confident.
- Run clear, motivating, and relevant briefings for each shift.
- Coach team members in real-time, addressing improvements constructively.
- Build genuine relationships with regulars and guests in the main dining room and private events.
- Support the planning and execution of private dining and events.
- Provide feedback to the management team on service operations.
Requirements
- Genuinely drawn to hospitality with a focus on guest experience.
- Experience in a management role within a quality restaurant or bar environment.
- Proven responsibility for a floor and a team.
- Natural communicator adaptable to different situations.
- Leadership style that focuses on coaching and developing others.
- Composure under pressure and good instincts for redirecting service.
- Ambition and a desire to develop within a team.
