About the Role

The Program Director is responsible for the daily operation of the congregate treatment program, ensuring program activities promote resident rehabilitation and compliance with all relevant laws and standards. This role requires knowledge of mental illness, substance abuse, restorative services, and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, evaluate, and discipline program staff.
  • Ensure staff qualifications meet program needs and legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain staff employment schedules to align with resident needs.
  • Create and manage a monthly on-call schedule for crisis and emergency response.
  • Participate in the orientation of new personnel.
  • Oversee the intake, admission, and discharge planning processes.
  • Ensure supportive services are delivered according to resident needs and service plans.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining linkage agreements with support service providers.
  • Supervise and direct program staff through meetings and performance monitoring.
  • Respond to resident crises and emergencies.
  • Participate in case conferences.
  • Develop, maintain, and participate in staff in-service training.
  • Ensure timely resident assessments, service plan development/review, and progress note completion.
  • Conduct quality assurance and utilization reviews of resident records.
  • Conduct regular reviews of resident rooms and common areas.
  • Collaborate with consulting firms to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor staff time cards for punctuality and attendance.
  • Prepare bi-weekly time sheets.
  • Maintain required statistical data and information.
  • Manage program supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Attend required conferences, seminars, and training.
  • Represent the President/CEO at meetings.
  • Ensure resident confidentiality.
  • Review resident records for completeness and compliance.
  • Act as the QMHS in the absence of the Supervisor/Case Manager.
  • Attend Board of Directors meetings.
  • Ensure all reports and program files are current.
  • Administer and maintain all governing rules, regulations, guidelines, and standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the President/CEO.
  • Be On Call 24/7.

Requirements

  • Physically able to walk up and down stairs.

Skills

  • Knowledge of mental illness
