About the Role
Join Fairmont Royal York, a historic Toronto landmark undergoing a significant transformation, and contribute to creating its next chapter. This role is key to delivering exceptional guest experiences within the Fairmont Gold and Deloitte Lounges.
Responsibilities
- Report for duty on time with a professional appearance and appropriate uniform.
- Engage with guests to understand their needs and preferences, communicating them to support anticipatory service.
- Acknowledge guests by name and honor their unique preferences and requests.
- Execute food and beverage mise en place preparations, setup, and service processes according to departmental standards.
- Welcome and offer assistance to guests utilizing the lounge.
- Assist with replenishing food and beverage offerings in the Fairmont Gold and Deloitte Lounges.
- Assist with clearing and resetting tables, and replenishing flatware, crockery, and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness of all food & beverage preparation areas within the Fairmont Gold & Deloitte Lounges.
- Adhere to food sanitation and safety standards.
- Oversee and ensure the quality and appearance of all culinary presentations and pantry areas.
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance according to Fairmont Gold grooming standards.
- Actively participate in ongoing development, service enhancements, and training.
- Adhere to the hotel's social media and confidentiality policies.
Requirements
- Service-oriented individuals with excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Smart Serve certification required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
- Ability to lift at least 60lbs.
