About the Role

Total Fire Protection is seeking a Production Technician to perform inventory maintenance, fire extinguisher reconditioning, and picking items for service calls. This role involves supporting the company's rapid growth and requires a collaborative attitude. The Production Technician will report directly to the Production Manager and handle various tasks related to Portable Fire Extinguishers. Training is provided for the right candidates.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning, painting, and applying proper stickers and signage.
Conduct maintenance, testing, and repairs of extinguishers.
Refill and recharge extinguishers to return them to active service.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Manage materials and inventory throughout the shop and storage areas.
Provide direct assistance to Field Service Technicians for daily material and stocking requirements.
Assist in maintaining, cleaning, and preparing the shop and fleet vehicles for daily work requirements.
Perform other hands-on daily work tasks as assigned by the Shop Manager or other team members.

Requirements

Must be 18 years old or older.
Possess a GED, High School diploma, or equivalent.
Be eligible to work in the United States.
Possess a valid and current state driver’s license.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs for an extended period.
Ability to lift and carry a minimum of thirty (30) pounds.
Prior Field Service Technician experience at a Fire and Life Safety company is a plus.
Prior experience maintaining, testing, and repairing fire extinguishers is a plus.
Hands-on warehouse and/or maintenance experience is a plus.
