About the Role
The Floater is responsible for a variety of tasks including loading outbound trucks and filling out load sheets, selecting customer orders in a timely and accurate manner, auditing orders, breaking down inbound orders for receivers when time allows, accurately unloading floor loads to pallets and any tasks that are needed throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Load outbound trailers/prepare BOLs
- Lump/break down receiving orders/floor loaded orders
- Perform pre-operation inspections of any equipment being used
- Select/Pick stock to fill customer orders/weigh pallets
- Read order requirements and shelf locations
- Ensure order accuracy while meeting productivity goals
- Work with team members and supervisors to ensure coordination of work
- Perform additional job duties as required by leads supervisor
Requirements
- Forklift/ride on walkie rider certified
- Attention to detail
- Computer knowledge
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have reliable transportation
- Able to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift
