About the Role
VML Health is seeking a Strategist to support Directors/Group Directors in identifying insights, developing competitive analyses, and writing tactical briefs. This role requires a collaborative individual with strong analytical and communication skills, a passion for healthcare marketing, and a desire to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Develop insight deep dives and initiate research projects.
- Manage research project logistics.
- Craft research proposals, screeners, and discussion guides.
- Analyze research findings, summarize insights, and identify implications.
- Analyze category or competitive dynamics, including drivers/barriers and competitor advantages/disadvantages.
- Develop customer journeys and identify pain points and customer needs.
- Craft insight statements based on qualitative and quantitative research.
- Develop an understanding of positioning fundamentals and formulate positioning statements.
- Draft background briefing documents and tactical briefs.
- Learn the creative brief development process.
- Participate in creative review meetings and provide feedback to creatives.
- Review creative assets for alignment with the brief.
- Assist in developing proposals, pre-reads, and workshop materials.
- Coordinate logistics and note-taking for proposals, pre-reads, and workshops.
- Compile desk research and competitive audits.
- Coordinate market research.
- Participate in pitch meetings.
- Develop storytelling materials for pitch meetings.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in market research, strategic planning, or a related field, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable insights.
- Experience in conducting secondary research, analyzing data, and developing presentations and reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, for creating presentations and analyzing data.
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach to work, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive and self-motivated work style, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
