Responsibilities
- Strategic planning, control, and monitoring of all test activities throughout the entire software lifecycle in regulated projects.
- Creation and continuous maintenance of overarching test concepts, test plans, test cases, and meaningful test reports.
- Ensuring requirements-based testing and complete traceability between requirements, test cases, and results.
- Central interface function to project management, the development team, and other stakeholders (e.g., QA and Certification), including ensuring compliance with specifications from change and configuration management.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification, plus several years of experience in software test management in a safety-critical environment.
- Sound knowledge of the DO-178C standard (especially DAL-D), deep understanding of aviation-specific documentation requirements, and a structured, quality-oriented approach to work.
- Proficient use of common test and requirements management tools such as Jama, Jira, Xray, and Pytest.
- Solid expertise in the Linux Network Stack, Layer 3 routing protocols, and common security functions and architectures.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for goal-oriented collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and very good written and spoken German and English skills.
