About the Role

The Brand Controller leads financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role partners closely with the UK&I General Manager and functional teams to deliver insight, challenge assumptions, and ensure financial discipline aligned to business objectives. The Brand Controller owns the budgeting and forecasting cycle, produces high-quality management information, and translates complex financial data into clear, actionable insight. The role plays a critical part in driving profitability, sales growth, and operational efficiency. We are looking for somebody who is driven and has a passion for the Beauty industry.

Responsibilities

  • Own end to end P&L overview of all channels, leading performance towards objectives with key stakeholders
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across multichannel, and key brand investment areas
  • Deliver detailed performance reporting and insight across revenue, gross margin, marketing efficiency (ROI), and operating costs
  • Manage the monthly closure, working closely with the accounting team and preparing month end closure commentary
  • Partner with E-commerce, Commercial, and Brand teams to support pricing, promotions, launches, and trade investment decisions
  • Analyse profitability by channel, customer, product line, and market, highlighting mix and margin drivers
  • Develop financial models for demand planning, wholesale agreements, channel expansion, and customer growth initiatives
  • Support working capital and inventory planning through cash flow forecasting, stock coverage, and markdown scenario analysis
  • Improve forecasting accuracy, reporting cadence, and FP&A tools to enable faster, insight-led decision-making
  • Support retail score carding, including sell through and productivity KPIs
  • Support Sales & Marketing teams with spend and promotional ROI, assisting GM in optimising investment decisions
  • Partner with Marketing to deliver launch P&Ls, post launch reviews, and campaign ROI
  • Integrate within the S&OP framework to align demand, supply, and financial forecasts with relevant demand planning, commercial and marketing teams

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience)
  • Experience in Retail / FMCG or equivalent industry
  • Strong analytical skills with proven financial modelling capability; able to translate data into actionable insight
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel; strong PowerPoint skills to present concise, clear narratives
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with TM1 or equivalent reporting/forecasting tools
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Data integrity / master data awareness
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to challenge constructively at senior level
  • High attention to detail; reliable delivery under time pressure with multiple priorities
