About the Role
Rockefeller Capital Management offers a distinctive Summer Analyst Program experience as a premier independent financial advisory firm. Our diversified businesses, boutique size, and entrepreneurial culture shape a dynamic, personalized experience for our Analysts. The Summer Analyst program is a ten-week (June-August) internship designed to provide an opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere of Rockefeller Capital Management, with full immersion in day-to-day business activities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Investment Solutions teams in performing diligence and analysis on investment opportunities in private and public markets.
- Assist the team in providing advisory practice management and new issue opportunities through platform, program, and process support to private wealth advisors.
- Provide support on inbound inquiries and questions requiring immediate attention.
- Work with senior investment professionals and client advisors on special projects, including investment memos, performance review/analysis, and automation projects.
- Attend meetings and provide support with preparation of internal/external presentations.
- Research various industries, asset classes, and opportunities.
- Participate in quantitative/qualitative analyses of investments on the platform, including structured products.
Requirements
- High school degree required.
- Pursuing a degree with a concentration in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or Computer Science is desirable.
- Prior internship experience in the financial industry, including wealth management or asset management is a plus.
Skills
- Basic understanding of investments, portfolio reporting, and related terminology.
- Highly analytical and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
- Ability to use Excel to organize, analyze, present, and report on client information.
- Self-starter, works well independently and as part of a team.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset.
- Ability to multi-task and reassess priorities.
- Detail-oriented with attention to accuracy and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to exercise discretion with confidential matters.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Programming experience (e.g., C/C++/Java/Python) is a plus.
- Ability to use Artificial Intelligence to streamline and automate.
