About the Role
Drive the future of technology by leading global sourcing for board components. Own commercial strategy, pricing, and supply for critical semiconductor commodities. Partner with engineering, quality, and operations to deliver innovative supply chain solutions from NPI through mass production. Build strong supplier relationships, negotiate key agreements, and implement long term strategies for cost, quality, and service.
Responsibilities
- Lead global commodity strategy for board components, aligning with product and technology roadmaps.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, ensuring roadmap alignment and fostering collaboration.
- Negotiate pricing, lead-time, and quality agreements to achieve cost competitiveness and supply assurance.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives through should-cost analysis, value engineering, and long-term agreements to deliver measurable savings.
- Ensure supply readiness for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Mass Production (MP) programs.
- Evaluate supplier performance through scoring metrics and conduct periodic business reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Onboard new suppliers and expand the Approved Vendor List (AVL) to support technology and capacity needs.
- Proactively mitigate supply risks, addressing potential disruptions through contingency planning and multi-sourcing strategies.
- Gather market intelligence and identify potential partners to support future product and technology requirements.
- Report progress on critical sourcing projects and strategic initiatives to executive leadership with clear, data-driven insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing within semiconductor industry.
- Category/commodity management experience for boards, systems or rack components (e.g., Integrated Circuits, Power ICs, Thermal, Interconnects, PCB)
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills.
- Effective leadership, communication, and project management skills.
