About the Role
AniCura Tierklinik Berlin-Biesdorf is seeking a veterinarian specializing in reptiles to join their team. This modern clinic, located in a historic manor near Schlosspark Biesdorf, offers comprehensive care including surgery, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, ophthalmology, and physiotherapy. They also treat and hospitalize exotic animals.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage reptile consultations.
- Diagnose and treat internal diseases, infections, parasite infestations, and injuries such as shedding problems or nutritional deficiencies.
- Advise owners on proper terrarium lighting (UV), temperature, humidity, and nutrition.
- Perform laboratory work including fecal analysis, blood tests, and microbiological assessments.
- Provide care for intensive care patients.
- Perform electronic microchip identification and issue certificates of origin or attestations.
Requirements
- Completed veterinary medicine degree including German approbation.
- Professional experience in the small animal sector, preferably in a clinic.
- Interest in reptile medicine with potential for specialization.
- Willingness to work shifts, including on-call and night shifts.
- Team-oriented and patient-focused work approach.
- Very good German language skills.
