About the Role
HDR is seeking a Design Coordinator, Interiors, to join our growing team and continue the legacy of providing clients and communities with creative design solutions that enhance the health and human condition. The Designer serves as our team's connection to world-class expertise.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across disciplines and market sectors in project delivery.
- Document design concepts.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the interior design process from programming through construction administration.
- Advance craft, work independently and as part of a team, and adopt a solutions-based approach.
- Set a positive example, contribute to creativity, and promote a collaborative culture.
- Engage with Interiors and Project Leadership to understand operational plans and processes.
- Positively contribute to the design process, discover solutions, and navigate challenges.
- Participate in formal and informal design reviews.
- Support office environments to promote Design Excellence and HDR's brand.
- Promote HDR in networking environments.
- Continually develop technical knowledge related to document creation and details across all project phases.
- Encourage sustainable approaches and practices.
- Collaborate and co-create ideas and concepts within a team and across disciplines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture (from an accredited school) or closely related field.
- A minimum of 1 year of internship experience in a relevant design firm environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Competent in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
