About the Role

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of our defense engineering team, taking full ownership of infrastructure, identity systems, and endpoint management. You will build durable configurations, leverage AI automation, and safeguard mission-critical operations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT systems, including exploring environments and hands-on work with the EDDA platform.
  • Administer Entra ID commercial and GCC High tenants, including user accounts, groups, licensing, and provisioning.
  • Provide day-to-day support for engineers, triaging by business impact, communicating ETAs, and closing the loop.
  • Maintain AI agents and monitoring stack (Grafana / Loki / Prometheus).
  • Ensure CMMC controls are compliant and aligned with the SSP.
  • Aggressively use AI tooling for builds, including piloting changes and maintaining rollbacks.
  • Select and implement lightweight tooling for IT operations.
  • Develop field support capabilities, including establishing remote management tooling and building durable configurations for remote deployments.
  • Support remote deployments with occasional travel.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years in an IT administration, systems admin, DevOps, InfoSec, or desktop engineering role.
  • Hands-on keyboard MDM experience managing Macs (Jamf or Intune required).
  • Experience managing a fleet of Macs.
  • Experience using Apple Business Manager (ABM) for Automated Device Enrollment (ADE).
  • Experience leveraging Declarative Device Management (DDM).
  • Version-controlled MDM configurations.
  • Familiarity with CI-like deployment workflows.
  • Comfortable in a shell.
  • Solid networking fundamentals (VLANs, DHCP/DNS, Wi-Fi, 802.1X).
  • Familiarity with FIPS requirements.
  • Ability to communicate calmly and clearly under pressure.
  • Willingness to work at a fast-paced defense startup.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-access screening.
