About the Role

This role provides flexible, dependable hours for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Responder, you will provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology and media campus by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and employee credentials in accordance with site procedures; provide directions and support for authorized persons entering the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced technology and media environment.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
