About the Role
At the B2B division, we provide the scale, innovative technology, and supply of Expedia Group to businesses looking to take on the world of travel. Through these partnerships, we power experiences for millions of consumers globally, helping drive brand loyalty and growth for our partners and Expedia Group. We are the largest and fastest-growing travel affiliate network, working with over 10,000 partners in 33 countries to turn their web traffic into hotel bookings and loyal customers. FinTech is one of the technology capabilities we provide to B2B partners, helping them deliver travel booking experiences through Expedia Group’s technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software features and services that power the TAAP platform for travel agent partners globally.
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code across the full software development lifecycle, primarily using Java/Kotlin.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decisions that shape the direction of the platform.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues, ensuring platform reliability and performance.
- Review code from peers and provide constructive technical feedback to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and processes within the team.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Expedia Group to deliver end-to-end B2B experiences for our travel agent partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong background in designing and building scalable, distributed systems.
- Experience with JVM-based languages such as Java, Kotlin.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerisation with Docker/Kubernetes).
- Proficient communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously in a fast-paced, agile environment.
