About the Role
The Parker Jewish Institute is seeking to hire part-time Food Service Workers to join its team in the Food and Nutrition Services department. This role is responsible for the sanitary and safe handling of food and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set up work station
- Assemble resident/patient meal trays
- Deliver food carts
- Remove completed trays from dining areas
- Follow proper sanitation procedures
- Assemble and deliver supplements
- Operates food equipment
- Complete meal cart delivery report
- Check each meal tray for completeness
- Store food and supplies
- Understand written and oral instructions
- Adhere strictly to infection control policy and procedures
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- A flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays
- Prior experience in a healthcare or customer service role in food service strongly preferred
