About the Role
MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking Project Engineers to join our Texas Division in the Austin area. We specialize in water and wastewater general contracting across multiple states.
Responsibilities
- General Contract and Subcontract administration
- Construction scheduling
- Procurement and expediting of material and equipment
- Mechanical, electrical and piping systems coordination
- Project cost review, reporting, updating, and accounting
- Review of subcontractor applications for payment
- Participation in project meetings
- Supervision/coordination of subcontractors field installations
- Review/negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors and prepare change proposals for self-performed work
- Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with owners, vendors, subcontractors
- Any and all other duties assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor degree in Construction Management or related Program required
- 2-3 Years of prior construction field experience required
- Water and Wastewater construction experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
- Effective Communication Skills both oral and written, and quick response time to inquiries
- Passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen is required
