About the Role

You will take cross-platform responsibility for our social channels, with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and new platforms being your area of expertise. We view social media as a distinct editorial domain with its own strategy and formats, and you will shape these contents from the beginning. Your content will explain complex financial topics and current economic, political, and consumer news in a way that millions can understand and stay engaged with.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for the editorial line across all social platforms: topic selection, quality, and prioritization, in close coordination with our Head of Content.
You write effective scripts with hooks, dramaturgy, and punchlines for Reels, Shorts, and TikToks, from the first frame to the last sentence.
You develop new series and formats, test them, and decide based on data what scales and what does not.
You research and produce factually correct, visually appealing social media content (e.g., Reels, TikToks, carousel posts, stream content) and provide our community with relevant financial and economic information daily.
You transform existing content (videos, podcasts, guides, comparisons, and blog articles) into independent social formats with their own narrative, rather than mere secondary use.
You identify trends before others and translate them into the Finanzfluss context without turning us into a generic trend channel.
You provide editorial feedback within the team, enhance the overall quality of our scripts, and support the expansion into new platforms.

Requirements

You have experience in social media editorial work or social media journalism and can showcase channels or formats that have grown through your efforts.
You have demonstrable experience in scripting social videos and understand why a video is won or lost within the first three seconds.
You think cross-platform: you know what works on TikTok but flops on Instagram, and you adapt content specifically instead of copying it.
You bring curiosity and enthusiasm for financial and economic topics. Prior knowledge helps, genuine interest is mandatory.
You think analytically about social content and KPIs, deriving editorial decisions from data.
You work reliably, independently, and with high diligence. We bear special responsibility for financial topics.
You are eager for new challenges and have the courage to experiment.
