About the Role
As a Senior Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter, you will be part of our central accounting team. You will lead the AP/AR accountants and work closely with Controlling, Treasury, tax advisors, and auditors. Additionally, you will support the further development of a modern, international finance organization.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
- Independent management of several companies
- Professional leadership and support of AP/AR accountants
- Participation in group reporting and intercompany reconciliations
- Preparation of VAT pre-declarations and other tax declarations
- Coordination and professional support during annual financial statement and tax audits
- Participation in the further development of our ERP system Oracle NetSuite
- Analysis and optimization of accounting processes
- Close collaboration with the Controlling, Treasury, and Operations departments
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship with further training as a Bilanzbuchhalter or comparable qualification
- At least five years of professional experience in accounting, including solid, multi-year experience in the independent preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Good HGB and IFRS knowledge
- Experience in a corporate group environment
- Good German and English skills (minimum B2 level)
- Confident use of Excel; ERP experience (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics) is an advantage
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
