About the Role
As a Financial Accountant (m/f/d) - Accounts Receivable & Payable, you will be part of our central Accounting team. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure reliable accounts payable and receivable accounting and work closely with the Treasury, Controlling, Purchasing, and Operations departments. You will support the further development of a modern, international financial organization in the field of renewable energies.
Responsibilities
- Review, account for, and book incoming invoices, ensuring the proper approval process.
- Create and book outgoing invoices and maintain accounts receivable.
- Monitor open items, resolve discrepancies, and manage dunning processes.
- Prepare payment runs and reconcile with Treasury, adhering to the four-eyes principle.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
- Review and maintain master data and assist in verifying bank details.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, particularly regarding accruals.
- Independently conduct intercompany reconciliations and support auditors and tax advisors with inquiries.
- Collaborate on the further development of our ERP system Oracle NetSuite and the optimization of our accounting processes.
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship, ideally with a focus on accounting, or a comparable qualification.
- At least three years of professional experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable, ideally in a corporate environment.
- Good understanding of accounting processes and a meticulous, reliable working style.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with an ERP system (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics) is advantageous.
- Good German and English language skills (min. B2 level).
- Structured, self-reliant, and solution-oriented approach to work.
- Enjoy teamwork and process development in a dynamic environment.
