About the Role

As a Senior Employee Benefits Account Executive at Gallagher Benefit Services, you will be a trusted partner to organizations, helping them navigate important people decisions and build better workplaces. You will expand existing relationships and deliver high-quality service to clients through account management of moderately to highly complex accounts. This role contributes to key business outcomes including revenue growth, client retention, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Expand existing relationships and deliver high quality and efficient service to both internal and external clients through the day-to-day account management of an assigned group of client accounts of moderate to high complexity.
  • Support the business priorities of Branch Managers, production team members, and the client service function.
  • Independently manage accounts of increasing complexity.
  • Grow revenue by counseling clients on additional business opportunities via cross-selling & up-selling.
  • Drive the Client Service Cycle.
  • Deliver high-quality client service consistent with the agency's operational standards and practices.
  • Achieve operational productivity and performance metrics consistently.
  • Grow and profitably manage an assigned group of client accounts successfully.
  • Build relationships with existing clients by providing exceptional ongoing customer care.
  • Seek referrals from current client base to solicit new business prospects.
  • Secure existing business and actively drive the sale of additional services.
  • Act as a strategic relationship manager and client liaison.
  • Provide oversight in the sale of products/services by enhancing sales or services to prospects and existing accounts.
  • Offer training, development, and/or supervision to lower-level staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel.
  • Be proficient in enrollment and program guidelines and negotiate with providers as needed.
  • Be fluent in the client’s industry and current events that can modify the coverages needed.
  • Review changes in carrier offerings and policies and relay information to the larger service team.
  • Facilitate and collaborate with the account team on the agency’s renewal strategy.
  • Provide clients with tailored benefit programs and review methods of handling risks.
  • Identify and explain gaps in programs.
  • Work with the producer to write new business.
  • Educate clients concerning the regulatory environment and assist clients with compliance issues as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years client service and/or claims management experience.
  • Must hold appropriate licensing as required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
  • Proficiency in using technology as a tool to maximize productivity and quality.
  • Previous experience in managing client relationships is essential.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to go the "Extra Mile" to achieve results that benefit the client, the Branch and Gallagher.
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates composure, stamina and resilience under pressure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
