About the Role
This role focuses on building relationships within the construction industry, solving complex surety challenges, and leading high-impact client work. You will be involved in sophisticated indemnity structures, high-volume transactions, and detailed risk analysis within the Surety Group in Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Review bids and prepare sunshine letters and surety bonds.
- Prepare service requests for accurate and timely issuance of invoices and documents.
- Prospect with team members and build a network within the construction industry.
- Support colleagues in servicing clients and prospects.
- Deliver excellent service to an existing Surety book of business.
- Provide top-tier construction advisory services and solutions with colleagues.
- Identify client and prospect needs and develop efficient, innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Aon audit standards for procedures, client files, and correspondence.
- Review and revise Surety facilities.
- Coordinate the account team and provide oversight, including client service plans.
- Participate in industry events and committees to build visibility and connections.
- Demonstrate the value of collaboration and inclusion across all lines of business.
Requirements
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.
- Commitment to compliance with Aon policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to obtain an active Property and Casualty license.
Skills
- Construction Surety Bonds experience preferred
- Property and Casualty insurance experience
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with senior clients and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and commitment to thorough review of work
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to develop relationships with national and regional carriers in the Surety and P&C markets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong digital literacy
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience creating client presentations
- Ability to integrate AI tools into workflows
