About the Role
KPMG is seeking a technology-minded professional for its SR&ED Tax Incentives group. This role involves assessing client projects for SR&ED potential by understanding software architectures, frameworks, system integrations, and algorithms, and preparing technical summaries to justify SR&ED tax credits.
Responsibilities
- Interview client personnel to gather supporting information and articulate compelling arguments for SR&ED project claims.
- Examine client technologies, products, and operations to determine qualifying R&D activities for SR&ED incentives.
- Plan, organize, and execute multiple engagements on time and within budget.
- Successfully develop and manage client relationships and expectations.
- Stay updated on innovative technologies and trends in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics.
- Maintain an understanding of the SR&ED program and legislative changes.
Requirements
- Experience in SR&ED or other R&D related government tax incentive programs is an asset.
- High comfort level and knowledge of computer software/IT technology topics and related terminology.
- Ability to conduct conversations to understand root causes for issues and grasp key development concepts in R&D scope.
- Ability to work closely with clients of all training backgrounds and manage client expectations.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks for multiple clients to consistently achieve delivery milestones.
