About the Role

Gallagher Bassett is seeking multiple Claims Consultants to join their growing General Insurance team. This role involves managing a portfolio of general insurance claims, focusing on delivering fair, timely, and customer-focused outcomes through end-to-end claims management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of claims from lodgement through to resolution.
• Assess coverage and liability in accordance with policy and legislative requirements.
• Engage with claimants, brokers and stakeholders to progress claims.
• Investigate claims, gather evidence and determine appropriate outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements and ensure timely resolution of claims.
• Maintain accurate claims records and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for early resolution and improved customer outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Experience in claims management across any insurance line or related field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to assess information and make sound decisions.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Customer-focused with strong problem-solving capability.
• Understanding of claims processes and regulatory requirements.
• Must have the right to live and work within Australia.
