About the Role
Artex International is expanding its Business Development team to support ambitious growth goals. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and assisting with new client and affinity solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop business relationships with prospects and intermediaries to drive profitable growth.
- Identify new prospects, assess client needs, and qualify potential clients across various verticals.
- Understand prospective client business issues and needs to identify tailored solutions.
- Achieve personal sales targets and manage the sales pipeline.
- Monitor network performance and apply strategies to maintain a healthy prospect pipeline.
- Respond to all inquiries within agreed service levels with a 'right first time' philosophy.
- Establish strong internal and external networks to ensure best-in-class service solutions.
- Lead by example by consistently delivering self-initiated new business.
- Raise company awareness in the marketplace.
- Conduct proactive research, account profiling, and targeting.
- Attend meetings and collaborate with clients and client service teams to discuss solutions.
- Stay updated on industry developments and trends.
- Ensure the CRM system is populated with current and relevant information.
- Project manage client file handover for a seamless transition from prospect to client.
- Attend industry seminars, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Adhere to Artex Policies and Procedures.
- Undertake all activities in a professional and ethical manner.
- Attend and actively participate in internal meetings and initiatives.
- Complete timesheets accurately and on time.
- Contribute to a positive working environment with impeccable conduct.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a consulting-led sales role within the commercial insurance industry, preferably in alternative risk transfer or captive insurance.
- Technical insurance competency with a desire for continuous development.
- Fully Qualified CIP and/or working towards ACII.
- Confident, ambitious, independent self-starter with a desire to succeed.
- Excellent consultative, business development, and market awareness skills.
- Proven ability to source new business and achieve targeted results.
- Proven success in identifying client concerns and creating tailored solutions.
- Results-focused individual capable of delivering challenging targets.
- Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce is desirable.
- Strong understanding of core service capabilities.
- Excellent appreciation of and proven ability in negotiating and closing a sale.
- Team player able to work with others but also managed remotely.
- Ability to maintain clear lines of communication with internal and external stakeholders.
