About the Role

KPMG Forensic helps uncover facts and create clarity when disagreements arise or when financial and business behavior deviates from expectations. Our professionals investigate fraud and misconduct, quantify losses, provide expert witness services, and recover damages. We also help address exploitable weaknesses in corporate processes and systems before incidents occur. The Senior Consultant role in the Ontario practice offers a unique opportunity to apply and develop litigation, forensic, and investigative accounting skills through diverse and challenging assignments.

Responsibilities

Provide client service and perform day-to-day fieldwork on various assignments.
Ensure quality and timeliness of working papers and deliverables.
Manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
Perform detailed and complex financial analysis.
Assist with interviews of individuals involved in fraud, misconduct, or other engagement-related matters.
Prepare file documentation and manage documents appropriately.
Assist in preparing written reports summarizing procedures and findings.
Assist in establishing and monitoring project budgets, ensuring timely billing and collections.
Assist Partners with new client evaluation, engagement acceptance, and risk management.
Supervise junior employees on engagements and administrative projects.
Share administrative tasks related to the operation of KPMG Forensic.
Actively participate in marketing and business development, including networking, presentations, and community outreach.
Travel out of town in Canada or internationally on short notice, potentially for extended periods.

Requirements

Bachelor degree required.
3+ years of professional experience, including external audit experience.
Enrolment in CFE or completion of CPA program required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Effective troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of information.
Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access).
