About the Role

Keysight's Measurement Standards Laboratory in Japan is seeking engineers who will contribute to solving traceability challenges required by the R&D organization, supporting calibration activities at service centers worldwide, and performing characterization of new products prior to factory shipment. By utilizing reference standards with traceability close to national standards, advanced precision measurement techniques, and metrology expertise, the team delivers high‑accuracy calibrations and measurement solutions. This position plays a critical role in advancing calibration technologies and measurement standards that underpin Keysight’s product quality and reliability at a global level.

Responsibilities

  • Development, verification, and improvement of calibration procedures
  • Management of standard equipment
  • Execution of calibrations requiring precision measurement knowledge
  • Contribution to the metrology industry through presentations at academic conferences and participation in metrology standards meetings

Requirements

  • Knowledge of electrical engineering, mathematics, and statistics
  • Experience using measuring instruments (experience in instrument maintenance or measurement data analysis is a plus)
  • Approximately five years of relevant work experience, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Japanese communication
  • Comfortable with English (most technical documents are in English, and interaction with overseas personnel is required)
