About the Role

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Junior Claims Adjuster in Toronto to investigate, evaluate, disposition, and settle claims. This role involves handling general liability and product liability claims, contributing to client recovery and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, disposition, and settle claims.
• Handle general liability claims.
• Handle product liability claims.
• Negotiate the settlement and disposition of claims within granted authority.
• Handle claims consistent with client and corporate policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Adhere to statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 3 years of related claims experience.
• CIP completion of courses C11, C12, C14, C110 or in progress with minimum courses for licensing.
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all provinces in which claims are being handled or able to obtain licenses/certification per local requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.
• Ability to think critically.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Ability to plan and organize activities.
• Ability to serve clients.
• Ability to negotiate.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to embrace new challenges.
