About the Role
KPMG's Business School (KBS) Audit is seeking an eager Learning Designer to support the development of web-based learning. This role offers a strong opportunity for future career development within the Audit & Assurance practice, focusing on building Audit professionals' knowledge and skills to uphold audit quality.
Responsibilities
- Map technical course material and apply instructional design principles to produce effective courses with measurable outcomes on technical audit and accounting topics, using rapid development tools.
- Manage course development, ensuring timelines are met and resources are appropriately utilized.
- Develop and maintain training-related forms, job aids, and materials.
- Engage with clients, Subject Matter Experts, and stakeholders to ensure content and delivery align with business goals and learner needs.
- Test course effectiveness on the learning management system and document findings.
- Maintain project documentation and course folders.
- Serve as a technical resource for internally developed and presented programs.
- Fulfill accountabilities by working beyond normal work hours when business needs arise.
Requirements
- Post-secondary Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience in Instructional Design and Adult learning.
- 5+ years proven working experience as an instructional designer for web-based and instructor-led training.
- 3+ years project management experience.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word and MS PPT.
- Experience working with LMS (Learning Management Systems).
- 2+ years’ experience with Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline).
- Excellent written communication skills with an ability to write effective instructional text.
- Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment.
- Intellectual curiosity, analytical acumen, strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
- Adept at relationship building and open to feedback.
- Written and oral fluency in English is required.
