About the Role
AnotherDay, Gallagher’s specialist in-house risk management consultancy, is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Consultant to join its growing Risk Strategy consulting team in London. This is a senior, client-facing advisory role focused on helping large and complex organizations understand, prioritize, and manage strategic risk. You will work directly with Executive Committees, Boards, and senior leadership teams, providing independent advice on critical risks for organizational resilience, performance, and long-term success. The role centers on helping clients navigate uncertainty, volatility, and disruption, supporting leaders in making informed decisions, preparing for high-impact scenarios, and strengthening their ability to respond to emerging threats and opportunities. You will act as a trusted advisor, bringing structured thinking, pragmatic challenge, and strategic insight to organizations undergoing growth, transformation, or heightened external pressures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic risk assessments and horizon-scanning exercises to identify emerging geopolitical, economic, regulatory, and operational risks.
- Advise Executive Committees and senior leadership teams on strategic risk exposure, risk appetite, and decision-making in complex environments.
- Analyze organizational dependencies and vulnerabilities, including exposure from the loss of critical assets, systems, people, or third-party suppliers.
- Design and enhance Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks to support effective governance and strategic decision-making.
- Develop crisis management frameworks, escalation protocols, and executive-level response playbooks.
- Facilitate senior leadership workshops, scenario planning sessions, and resilience reviews.
- Produce high-quality Board and Executive Committee papers, reports, and advisory outputs.
- Lead and deliver crisis management exercises and simulations for senior stakeholders.
- Provide trusted support to organizations during periods of strategic uncertainty, transformation, or emerging crisis.
Requirements
- Experience in risk consulting, enterprise risk management, resilience, strategy, governance, or a related advisory discipline.
- A strong interest in how organizations succeed, fail, and adapt under pressure.
- The ability to think systemically and understand complex organizational interdependencies.
- Confidence engaging with Executive Committees, Boards, and other senior stakeholders.
- Strong judgment and the ability to work effectively with ambiguity and incomplete information.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Experience managing and delivering projects from inception through to completion.
