About the Role
Moss is hiring an IT Program Manager to manage technology procurement, vendor relationships, and platform migrations. This role is central to how Moss acquires, manages, and retires technology, reporting to the CISO and collaborating with various departments across a 350-person, multi-office organization.
Responsibilities
- Own vendor and contract negotiations for SaaS, tooling, infrastructure, and connectivity providers, including competitive evaluations and maintaining the renewal calendar.
- Plan and steer the Tech Operations budget, focusing on cost transparency and license optimization.
- Partner with teams to understand tool usage, match license tiers to actual needs, and consolidate overlapping tools.
- Reduce the number of tools by identifying and integrating shadow IT, and managing tool retirement with Information Security.
- Lead company-wide technology migrations and retirements from initiation to completion.
- Establish a clear intake process for Tech Operations work and manage associated KPIs and reporting.
- Collaborate with Legal on contracts and DPAs, and with People Ops on joiners and leavers, managing vendor relationships within the existing framework.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in IT vendor management, procurement, sourcing, tech operations, or IT service management, preferably in a scaling company.
- Proven experience negotiating with vendors on service levels and cost.
- Experience leading at least one company-wide tool migration or consolidation, including decommissioning.
- Hands-on IT background sufficient to maintain essential services from runbooks in emergencies.
- An "AI Driver" toolkit with measurable AI use and concrete impact, including automation or agent experience (e.g., n8n, Claude skills).
- German language proficiency at C1 level or above.
- Prior experience in a regulated environment (financial services, payments, e-money) is a plus.
- Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2, or DORA is a plus.
- An ITIL/IAITAM qualification is a plus.
