About the Role
The Senior Manager, Supplier Relationship Management & Governance is responsible for leading and maturing D&G's Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) capability across strategic, critical and key suppliers. The role ensures suppliers deliver against service, performance, commercial, innovation and risk objectives while maintaining effective governance and oversight across the supplier lifecycle. Working closely with Procurement, business stakeholders and control functions, the role will establish robust supplier governance, performance management and executive engagement frameworks that improve supplier outcomes, strengthen business partnerships and support long-term value creation. The role combines strategic supplier relationship management, supplier performance oversight, governance leadership and supplier risk awareness to ensure D&G derives maximum value from its supplier ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Identify, track and deliver measurable value, innovation and continuous improvement opportunities through strategic supplier relationships.
- Lead supplier relationship strategies for strategic and critical suppliers.
- Develop and maintain supplier account plans and relationship roadmaps.
- Establish executive engagement models with key suppliers.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Annual Business Reviews (ABRs).
- Drive supplier innovation, continuous improvement and value creation initiatives.
- Ensure supplier objectives remain aligned with business priorities and transformation goals.
- Support commercial and operational value optimisation across strategic supplier relationships.
- Own the supplier performance management framework.
- Develop supplier scorecards and KPI reporting.
- Lead supplier performance reviews and service improvement plans.
- Monitor supplier delivery against contractual obligations and business expectations.
- Identify and track supplier-generated value, innovation and efficiency opportunities.
- Drive resolution of recurring supplier performance issues.
- Lead D&G's Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework across strategic and critical suppliers.
- Set the operating rhythm and governance approach for supplier lifecycle oversight, including onboarding, due diligence, relationship management, performance reviews, material change, renewal and exit.
- Oversee supplier segmentation, risk tiering, materiality assessments, critical supplier governance and ongoing monitoring requirements.
- Lead supplier governance forums and ensure decisions, actions, supplier performance & risk, service issues and commercial or control dependencies are clearly captured and followed through.
- Partner with Procurement, SRM, business owners, Risk, Compliance, Information Security, Data Privacy, Legal, Finance and Operational Resilience to embed clear accountabilities and consistent supplier governance practice.
- Ensure supplier management activity aligns with regulatory expectations, operational resilience requirements, information security standards, data privacy obligations, contractual commitments and internal risk appetite.
- Lead senior reporting on supplier risk, supplier performance, service issues, overdue actions, service or control improvement, critical supplier exposure and framework effectiveness.
- Support audit, regulatory and assurance activities relating to supplier management and governance, ensuring evidence and reporting are available where required.
- Lead, coach and develop team members, building capability in SRM governance, stakeholder influence, reporting and oversight.
- Identify and deliver improvements to data quality, tooling, management information, governance packs, process consistency and control effectiveness.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading Supplier Relationship Management, Strategic Supplier Management or Vendor Management functions.
- Experience managing strategic and critical suppliers in a complex organisation.
- Strong supplier governance, supplier performance and executive stakeholder management experience.
- Proven experience building or maturing SRM frameworks and operating models.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence supplier and stakeholder outcomes.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional supplier improvement initiatives.
- Third Party Risk Management experience.
- Operational resilience and outsourcing governance knowledge.
- Regulatory or financial services experience.
- Experience supporting audits or regulatory reviews.
