About the Role

This position is responsible for all aspects of startup, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of large-scale industrial LV switchboards, with a primary focus on data centers.

Responsibilities

Deliver project site works on LV switchgear panels (3200-6200A 415Vac), including commissioning, testing, and customer handover for industrial projects, mainly in data centers.
Investigate and repair site issues and breakdowns.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks for all aspects of LV switchgear panels (ACBs-MCCBs).
Prepare tools, test equipment, and site documentation for project and maintenance activities.
Communicate and interface with clients, sub-contractors, and internal Vertiv departments to ensure timely progress and meet project milestones.
Liaise with internal procurement for material requirements and manufacturing needs to close out defect lists.
Manage site-related paperwork, ensuring timely sign-off and upload to client portals.
Ensure safe working practices on-site and adherence to all relevant WHS procedures.
Comply with all Work, Health & Safety, Environment and Quality obligations.
Actively promote safety in the workplace.
Proficient in LOTO procedures.

Requirements

Unrestricted electrical licence is mandatory.
White card.
Driver's licence.
Working knowledge of Electrical Drawings/Control Systems.
Experience in Troubleshooting.
Electrical Engineering Background.
Experience in the use of product specific Software.
Familiar with all aspects of electrical panel testing & fault finding.
Competency in primary & secondary injection testing.
Competency in flash testing.
Good working knowledge of LV Switchgear and Protection devices.
Good understanding of safe isolation and electrical safety.
Familiar with maintaining accurate and detailed completion of test documentation.
Experience with Client Factory Acceptance Tests / Site Acceptance Tests.
Fully flexible to work additional hours on request.
Good communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft office suite.
