About the Role
Guardian Service Industries is seeking a Security Guard Supervisor to join their team in NY. This role requires flexible availability, including weekends, and involves conducting patrols, coordinating emergency responses, monitoring sites, and maintaining surveillance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patrols of the site interior and perimeter to identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
- Evaluate situations and make logical decisions on how to proceed and direct work.
- Coordinate expedient responses to emergency conditions, including fires, safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
- Handle undesired conduct, violations of building policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of guests, employees, patrons and property.
- Monitor site for any unusual activity.
- Report via radio to the supervisor on duty in case of suspicious behavior or alarms.
- Maintain surveillance, including security camera footage, and reporting of any suspicious persons and/or packages.
- Execute a number of comprehensive and integrated security measures and countermeasures.
- Adapt physically to the changing needs and priorities of the site.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1+ years of security supervisor experience
- Valid NYS Guard License
- 8 hour + 16 hour certificates
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills preferred.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Neat and professional appearance
- Remain flexible to ever changing environments and schedules
- Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards
- Reliable and consistent transportation to and from work sites
