About the Role
EY’s Liquidity team supports businesses in improving the effectiveness of their liquidity and cash management, treasury, and working capital processes and performance. The team provides advice on and/or is underpinned by the use of technology such as data analytics, cash management solutions, and treasury management systems. They work across the transaction cycle from pre-acquisition to exit preparation and across separation, carve out, and integration scenarios. Opportunities exist within inventory management and supply chain, credit risk and collections, and treasury and cash management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.
- Support with scoping project delivery and agree on the approach with clients.
- Coach junior team members through delivery.
- Manage financial aspects of engagements, including budget preparation, staffing, and tracking engagement economics.
- Keep clients updated on project status and communicate status to the project partner.
- Support senior team members in developing new business by responding to client requests for proposals.
- Build and leverage internal and external networks.
- Work closely with colleagues across functions to help clients navigate complex transactions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a finance role, working with large corporates either as an advisor or employee.
- 3+ years of experience in treasury or cash management, either in a consulting role or from working in a treasury department at a large corporate.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
- People management skills and previous evidence of coaching others to maximize performance.
- Ability to share technical and other knowledge with the team, drawing on previous experience and current learning.
- A flexible and positive approach and ability to adapt well to change.
- The desire and ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
Skills
- Experience working in a treasury function within a Corporate or in a consulting firm providing detailed practical advice to treasurers.
- Knowledge of Treasury good practice, including banking landscapes, cash pooling and cash management arrangements, financial risk management, cash flow forecasting, and treasury systems landscape.
- Experienced at analysing information/data to solve problems and formulate views and conclusions.
- Ability to confidently present solutions, issues, and findings in both a concise written and oral format.
- Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interface with multiple stakeholders across different functions.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Coaching and development of more junior team members.
- Strong interpersonal skills and inclusive teaming.
- Understanding of the firm's capabilities and ability to identify opportunities to involve other specialists and service lines.
