Responsibilities

- Act as an information resource for patients, families, and visitors.
- Instruct and educate patients and/or family members as needed.
- Provide assistance, comfort, and emotional support to patients’ families.
- Track surgery progress and delays, proactively updating families on patient status.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate hospital personnel based on patient/family needs.
- Recognize and respect cultural, social, and religious beliefs in care delivery.
- Disseminate information about HSS services and community resources.
- Collaborate with peers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
- Share information about new patients or transfers to ensure team readiness and coverage.
- Coordinate, communicate with, and provide ongoing guidance and support to Atrium volunteers.
- Answer telephone, route callers, take messages, and provide routine information.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and required documentation through EPIC, Salesforce, Outlooks, EZCall, and all departmental systems.
- Manage time effectively to meet patient, department, and hospital needs.
- Follow hospital and departmental policies to maintain safe and effective operations.
Requirements
- 2 years in Healthcare experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of teamwork
- Previous experience in hospitality or concierge services preferred
