About the Role
This is a 24-month rotational program designed to provide comprehensive training and exposure across various financial teams. The program aims to develop a broad range of skills, offering insights into fund structures, financial markets, and instruments, while fostering technical proficiency through internal and external training.
Responsibilities
- Work in four different teams within a highly automated and volume-driven environment.
- Acquire knowledge of fund structures and a breadth of financial markets and instruments.
- Develop technical skills through internal and external training.
- Gain exposure to SQL, PowerBI, AI, Microsoft Office, and other software packages.
- Gain insight into the workings of the Investment, Risk, Corporate Accounting, and Legal teams (without direct work in these teams).
- Participate in the Early Talent Development program to acclimate to Marshall Wace and improve crucial skills.
- Ensure accurate and timely valuation of approximately 120 funds daily using proprietary systems (Fund Accounting).
- Manage pricing and valuations to reflect true market conditions (Fund Accounting).
- Conduct broker and administrator reconciliations to verify transaction accuracy (Fund Accounting).
- Oversee shareholder flows to manage investments and redemptions (Fund Accounting).
- Calculate performance and management fees for proper fund administration (Fund Accounting).
- Support seamless functioning of portfolio management and trading systems (Operations).
- Build expertise across a wide range of markets and financial instruments (Operations).
- Provide trade support, stock loan, operational risk management, and asset servicing (Operations).
- Manage liquidity needs, collateral, foreign exchange (FX) rate risk, and counterparty exposures (Treasury).
- Monitor market conditions and assess financial risks to implement strategies (Treasury).
- Ensure operation to the highest regulatory standards and best practices (Compliance).
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues on regulatory matters (Compliance).
- Assess and mitigate regulatory risks by advising on new initiatives (Compliance).
- Conduct thorough reviews and monitoring activities using technology (Compliance).
- Manage and enhance relationships with clients, ensuring needs and expectations are met (Client Servicing).
- Develop and implement strategies to communicate company offerings, performance, and value proposition (Client Servicing).
- Prepare and distribute detailed reports, presentations, and updates (Client Servicing).
- Gather feedback and insights from clients to inform senior management (Client Servicing).
